The Sound of Music

Hornsby Musical Society is excited to announce April 2012 will see the return of one of the world's favourite musicals - Rodgers & Hammerstein's The Sound of Music.

Loved by children (and adults) of all ages, Rodgers and Hammerstein's final musical collaboration features such well-known favourites as "Climb Every Mountain", "Edelweiss", "My Favourite Things", "Sixteen Going on Seventeen" and, of course, "The Sound of Music".

The production will be directed by Laura Sheldon (herself a lifelong member of Hornsby Musical Society and former member of the Von Trapp Family, having previously appeared in two productions of the Sound of Music), with Musical Direction by local musicianDave Morganand additional Choreography byLauren Nalty(who also choreographed Hornsby's production of Cabaret the Musical). The entire production will be designed byPhilip Youngman(seen last year in Hornsby's production of Curtains the Musical).

Performance dates: Friday 13th April, Saturday 14th April, Sunday 15th April, Friday 20th April, Saturday 21st April.
