  • An outdoor astronomy talk under the stars where you will learn the night sky & some basic astronomy
  • View the planets, stars, and galaxies through our new 17" telescope in our observatory.
  • Up to 9 telescopes to view through depending on number of people attending.
  • View at least a dozen different objects through the telescopes.
  • Point out constellations, stars and planets with a laser pointer
  • Explain in detail about what you are looking at.
  • Answer your questions on the night sky and universe.

Astrophotography with your Canon, Nikon, Sony, Pentax SLR Camera or bring your SD card for our camera. We take 1 photo per camera of a colourful nebula or the Moon at the end of the show for no extra charge. The camera needs to have a lens that can be removed.

The number permitted in this session will vary depending on what covid-19 restrictions are imposed at the time. These can also change at short notice. The most we have is 50 people with the 2 square metre rule. With the 4 square metre rule it will be 30 people.

This is an outdoor activity. So dress according to the weather conditions. In some summer months there can be the odd mosquito so either cover up or apply some insect propellant.

The show is appropriate for people 5 years and over.  Children under 5 don't get anything out of it, but if you decide to bring them they require a pre-paid ticket to attend.

Bad weather Nights: If it is raining or overcast at start time we cancel the session unless it looks like it will clear during the session. We make a decision at start time, so if you are traveling from a great distance, best to book on the day when weather forecasts are more certain as its a long way to come and its cancelled.
